a beautiful day

Today, I went shopping! I went to Cheng Huang Miao with my mom, to buy some traditional Chinese presents for my host family and some other American teacher and friends. We bought some little things for decoration, they have good meanings such as healthy, luck and happiness. They smell good and different, the shop owner told us there are many kinds of Chinese medicine in them. And then we realized the things we bought is in a famous drug store with very long history called Tong Han Chun. We hope the presents will bring good luck to the American family and friends. We went to the Starbucks for a break. We got 2 chocolates. We met a lot of foreign tourists, an old American lady(I thought she was American) asked me about the weather. She said it is too hot here and I told her it would be even hotter in August. And then we had l unch in Nanxiang Mantou Restuarant. We have come here for several times, we got some traditional Chinese snacks, we were not hungry. Susan, my American mom told me to change the American name. She said my name Shangrila is not familiar with the American. So I took her advice and my American name now is Samantha, it is a little strange, but I think it is a good one, its meaning is 'listener', being a listener is nice. However I like the name Shangrila, OK, Just remember it. Samantha is a good one. Brett Anderson's girl friend is called Samantha, Pippo's wife is Samantha, too. It seems that the women called Samantha are beautiful, unfortunately, I am not the pretty one,but I am not bad. Ha, narcissistic--- However, thanks Susan, her advice is right.
